Every year the all the Clubs and Initiative Groups of the Forum Alpbach Network (FAN) meet to share and discuss their ideas and work for the European Forum Alpbach and their scholarship programs. This year Club Alpbach Lower Austria had the honor to host this conference. 

 

56 participants of almost 30 Clubs and IGs from all over Europe started the conference in the abbey Melk with the high-level event of the Dialog.Format.Niederösterreich. The next two days were spent with workshops to discuss burning topics like the revolution in the Ukraine, brainstorm about new projects within the Forum Alpbach Network and share experiences of their main focus: providing scholarships for the European Forum Alpbach. Some clubs presented their way of fundraising, advertising the scholarship programs and diversity within their scholarship holders, but also diversity for the panelists at the European Forum Alpbach.

 

Besides the lively discussions and the rich knowledge exchange, the young europeans enjoyed a lunch during a river cruise on the danube and learned about the wine harvest. Fortunately, they also had the possibility to taste some of the wines of Winzer Krems. Their stay at the beautiful abbey Melk was concluded with a guided tour through the museum, library and church of the abbey.
